The regeneration of your oils.

The purification per dehydration and degasing is an essential aspect of the maintenance of a dielectric oil. During this operation, the moisture, the solid particles and the gases are removed from the transformer’s oil.
QWhen the oil of a transformer makes that the purification is not efficient (too high acidity), the oil has to be changed or regenerated.
The fuller earth is the best mean of regeneration to treat the oil acidity. In function to the supply, an index between 0,4 and 0,6 Mg KoH/gr has to be considered as a maximum, above this one, there is a danger. In all cases, it is better to stay under this limit, because with an increasing index of acidity, it is necessary to observe continuously the breakdown voltage and then to multiply the dehydration operations to maintain at an acceptable threshold.

Components of the fuller earth’s body

Composed of a steel cylinder, closed at the lower part by a concave bulged bottom, and at the upper part, by a flat cover that can be dismantled and containing a spiracle tap. Inside the cylinder, an intermediary plate insulates the treated oil fraction from the not treated one. This plate contains one or several perfored used as guides for the cartridges (one or several of 15 kg fuller earth in function to the index of acidity).for the big models, the cover is foreseen with bracket. The watertightness of the upper part of each cartridge is ensured by a waterproof hat compressed by a spring.
The filters can be equipped with two manometers enabling to be aware of the clogging up of one or several filtering elements.
